Susana A. Otero started playing piano at the age of seven. She concluded her piano courses at the Conservatory of Oviedo at the age 15 (28/05/1986). During those two years, she was preparing for the Virtuosity Piano Courses with the Professor of the Conservatory Mr. Luis Vázquez del Fresno, with the aim of being examined in the Real Conservatory of Music in Madrid. Finally, she declined this possibility and she decided to work towards her University career.
She obtained her Degree in Music in 1989 in the CONSMUPA (Superior Conservatory of Music “Eduardo Martínez Torner”) in Oviedo (Spain).
She has been organist of the Basílica-Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Gijón for a decade: from 2010 to 2020.

She is the President of the Parents´ Association of the Professional Conservatory of Music in Gijón.
She is an active Patron of the Oviedo Opera Season. She cooperates with the sponsorship and patronage
She belongs to the FILARMONIC SOCIETY OF GIJÓN, in the Principality of Asturias.
